Who’s Next: Terrence Tucker / Giles County Bobcats
by. Correspondent Jason Wright /TN HighSchoolSportsCenter
As High School Sports Center continues our Spotlights of many of the young football athletes in Tennessee today’s article focuses on a freshman that is already making his presence felt on the varsity of one of the traditionally strong teams in Tennessee. Terrence Tucker has a strong base; already able to bench press and power clean 250 pounds, and a 380 squat as a freshman. He runs a 4.7 second 40 yard dash with three years left to train in high school.
On tape Terrence runs with power. He knows how to read when to bounce his run outside, and when to turn it up the field and get what he can. Upon first contact Terrence keeps his legs moving and can run through first contact.
Terrence Tucker is young but he plays hard and shows no fear against varsity defenses. Expect Terrence to get a lot more carries this year. There is no doubt in my mind that Terrence Tucker will be a name known by college coaches for the 2016 recruiting cycle. Please continue to check with HSSC as we update Terrence’s stats, accomplishments and his recruiting.
“I work hard in practice during the week so I can get game time on Friday nights,” Terrence told me. Coach Thomas Osteen echoed those sentiments “He is a good young player who is developing into a great player. He is an extremely hard worker. He does everything you ask him to do. He received carries on varsity as a freshman and will be in the rotation as a sophomore. This is his first offseason in the weight room and he is already one of our strongest players pound for pound.”
Not to be lost on Terrence is his 4.0 GPA. He is just starting to travel to camps this summer.
Terrence is already productive, but will get bigger, stronger, and faster over the next three seasons. Terrence Tucker is Who’s Next in Tennessee!
