The boys basketball teams from Collinwood (12-A) and Mt. Pleasant (11-A) are currently undefeated in their respective districts that compose Region 6.

The Trojans invade W.C. Johnson Gymasium tonight in “Tiger Town” to give fans a preview of what is to come next month when the TSSAA postseason begins.

Collinwood won their first 14 games this season before losing 70-66 at Decatur Riverside last Thursday. The Trojans bounced back Friday with a 77-50 verdict over Frank Hughes at Clifton.

Mt. Pleasant has an 11-3 record with 10 wins in their last 11 games. Two losses were in the Lighthouse Shootout in Corinth, Miss. during Thanksgiving weekend, the other being 53-49 on Jan. 2 at District 12-A foe Summertown.

Tucker Robertson and Logan Montgomery are top scorers for Collinwood, who has scored in the 80’s six times.

Mt. Pleasant is coming off a 71-40 win on Saturday at home over 11-A rival Santa Fe in which Dakota Brown bombed in six 3’s and led all scorers with 24 points.

Ken’Yores Smith and Walter Crawfod tallied 12 points each, while Jordan Woodson had a double-double with 10 points ad 10 rebounds.

For Santa Fe (8-9, 2-4), Thomas Hopkins produced 11 points. Wyatt Long (eight rebounds) and Nick Humphrey added eight points each.

Columbia Academy 74, Cornersville 48: The host Bulldogs (13-3, 4-1) combined their outside and inside games to take control early.

Guards Jackson Cary and Hunter Cary had three 3-point goals, while 6-foot-9 center Andrew Golden and sub Jacob Adkins tallied 21 and 11 points respectively.

Hunter Cary led all scorers with 23 points.Tate Lowrey paced Cornersville with 21 points.

Hickman County 47, Culleoka 30: Zach Bentley made four 3’s and along with Nate Clinard tallied 13 points each for the host Bulldogs.

Sam Davis and Craig Parks scored 11 and nine points respectively for the Warriors.

Battle Ground Academy 91, Zion Christian Academy 42: Eleven players scored with five in double digits for the Wildcats (16-1, 3-0) in Saturday’s game at Franklin.

Zac Wracher paced the Wildcats with 16 points. Jarrett Delozier and Jonquil Murray tallied 10 and nine points respectively for the Eagles.

GIRLS

Zion Christian Academy 44, Battle Ground Academy 39: Trailing 27-10 at the half, the Lady Eagles rallied to tie the score at 32-32 going into the fourth period, then posted a win Saturday in Franklin.

Zion (12-4, 4-3) had balanced scoring led by Catherine Upshaw with 14 points. Oyin Aderoba and McKenzie Kimbrough added 11 and 10 points respectively

Santa Fe 53, Mt. Pleasant 44: The Lady Wildcats (8-9, 4-2) outscored the host team 18-11 in the final quarter to build their lead from two points to nine during which they made 11 of 18 foul shots.

Alllison Pack paced Santa Fe with 15 points and six rebounds, while Ashley Faulkner scored eight of her nine points in the final quarter.

Alyssa Lemay fired in six 3-point goals and tallied a career-high 25 points for Mt. Pleasant (1-13, 1-6).

Cornersville 56, Columbia Academy 38: The visiting Lady Bulldogs (8-5, 4-1) connected for seven long-range baskets in the win.

Brooke Holt and Madison Hopkins tallied 16 and 15 points respectively for Cornersville.

Leslie Golden accounted for 17 points for CA. Sabrina Gilliam added 11 markers.

Hickman County 49, Culleoka 30: Jennifer Bylstad and Ginger Conder tallied 16 points each for Hickman County (11-6).

Hayley Foster tallied eight points for the Lady Warriors (8-9).

Santa Fe 48, Columbia Academy 44: Allison Pack poured in 22 points to pace Friday’s win for Santa Fe, while Meg Lusk added six tallies.

Leslie Golden’ 14 points paced CA. Cassidy Shrader and Sabrina Gilliam added seven points each.

— Also on tonight’s schedule is a District 11-A make-up game with Cornersville going to Hampshire and Spring Hill traveling to Lawrence County.

— Hampshire’s postponed games at Columbia Academy are rescheduled for Saturday. Also, the Hampshire home games with East Hickman not play Nov. 25 are set for Feb. 6.

— Columbia Central’s games slated for Tuesday at Franklin County are reset for Feb. 1. Reportedly, a sprinkler problem in the Winchester school forced the change.
