Mount Juliet started their season in the spotlight Thursday night on live TV versus their long time rival Lebanon Blue Devils. The Golden Bears are coming off of a 12-2 season and back to back trips to the semi-final round off the TSSAA Playoffs. Many have wondered how the team would respond to the loss of running backs Caleb Hopkins and Contrez McCathern who accounted for the majority of rushing yards for the Bears last year. Well, wonder no more…Junior running back Kyle Smith looks to be the mid-states next top recruit in the making. Kyle accounted for three touchdowns on 9 carries and 167 yards.
