With only two weeks left on the football schedule for the remaining teams in the Clarksville area. We thought to ourselves, I bet someone out there is just dying to know who the leading rusher and what streak a certain team is on.
We start with the Rossview Hawks, who have a 4-4 record thus far this season. Led by head Coach Ron Lambert, the Hawks are 1-3 at home and 3-1 away. They are currently on a one game winning streak after defeating the Coyotes of West Creek by a score of 41-26. Rossview is under Class 5A Region 6. Sophomore quarterback Kole Munson leads the team with 7 games played(GP), 37-75 completed passes for 507 yards total. He has 2 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown on the season. Sophomore running back Fred Orr leads the ground game with 8 GP, 91 carries for 630 yards and 9 TD’s.
Next up, the Clarksville High Wildcats. The Wildcats claim a 2-5 record, 1-3 at home, 1-2 away and 0-1 neutral. Led by head coach Issac Shelby, they are clinging to a 5 game losing streak with their last defeat coming in at a score of 41-3 against Northeast. Clarksville High School is in Class 5A Region 6.
Clarksville Northeast, lead by head coach Terry Arrington is supporting a 4-4 overall record. 3-1 at home, and 1-3 away. The Eagles are on a 2 game win streak with their win last coming against Clarksville High. Northeast is under Class 5A Region 6.
Clarksville Northwest, lead by head coach Vernon Wright hold on to a 4-4 record overall. They are 2-2 at home and away. They are currently on a 1 game losing streak, having being beaten by Friendship Christian 28-19. The Vikings are under Class 4A Region 6.
Montgomery Central has a 3-5 overall record, lead by head coach Jeff Tomlinson. The Indians have a 2-2 record at home and a 1-3 record away. Central is currently on a 4 game losing streak with their last loss coming from Waverly Central 41-3. The Indians are under Class 4A Region 6.
The Kenwood Knights have an overall record of 2-6, with a 2-2 record at home and 0-4 away. Lead by head coach Brian Beaubien, the Knights are currently on a 3 game losing streak, coming off a loss to Springfield 56-21. The Knights are under Class 4A Region 6. Senior quarterback Trent Johnson, leads the team with 7 GP, 7-18 for 161 yards and 2 TD’s. Senior standout Antwaun Branch, leads the teams with 6 GP, 139 carries for 1,160 yards and 14 TD’s on the season. Branch is planning on playing collegiate with the Boilermakers of Purdue.
