Game of the Week for D1 Highlights | In the great city of Mount Juliet Tennessee |Longtime Rival Gallatin Green Wave at Mt. Juliet Bears

This Friday
will feature a great rivalry game that dates back 20 plus years. Mount Juliet will host a strong Gallatin Green Wave team that went 4-6 last season but beat Mount Juliet in the season opener 34-31 at their house last season. Mount Juliet will look at this game as a revenge game and an opportunity to pay back the Green Wave. Gallatin led by senior  quarterback Wyatt Hayes who returns to the helm of the offense with playmakers all around him. Running back Jordan Mason who rushed for over 1,600 yards and 19 touchdowns last season will be accompanied by Station Camp transfer Marcus DeVault at the wide receiver position. Desmond Chambers has proven to be a great offensive punch whom can light up the scoreboard as well. DeVault had a great offseason while attending several different camps across Tennessee. He was also recognized as the top wide receiver at the On Top Athletics training camp early this past summer. He will definitely be a player to keep an eye on Friday night. Suring up the passing attack in addition to Mason, DeVault, and Chambers will be returning starter Keshawn High. Defensively for the Green Wave Gallatin returns two studs on the line with LaMarious Majors and CJ Mullins. Sources tell us that John Birdwell is stepping in at the middle linebacker position and will be calling the defensive plays.
The Golden Bears on the other hand have a highlights show on the offensive side of the ball that will look to put up big numbers this fall and especially this Friday night in the season opener. Offensively the Bears will be led by Mason Earls at the quarterback position. Earls will have a brick wall of an offensive line led by our #D1 Highlights preseason All Americans DJ Delfendahl who stands at 6’5 275 pounds on one side and Justin Satterfield at 6’7 310 pounds on the other. Mt. Juliet is blessed with an arsenal of skilled players in Aidan Raines and Trey Pruitt at the wide receiver position. Both Pruitt and Raines have mad hops and bunnies can out-jump and elude defenders trying to cover them. Gallatin will also have their hands full with Marcello Walton coming out of the backfield. Mount Juliet coming off a 7-6 record last season will look to jump start its season by knocking off the Gallatin Green Wave.
