Early Recruiting Process on West Tennessee Trio Dallan Hayden, Kyle Lowe and Cameron Miller
The 2022 class is heating up going into the early stages of 2021. Players like Kyle Lowe (QB) out of West Tennessee by way of Fayette Ware HS, Cameron Miller (WR) out of Memphis Academy of Health Sciences High School, and Dallan Hayden (RB) current Mr.Football in DII AAA Christian Brothers standout Are just a few of the young men that are holding 50+ combined offers.
Let us take a closer look at the three out of Memphis. First, Kyle Lowe who is rated one of D1Highlights top quarterbacks in the state for the 2022 class. Offers from Air Force, Arkansas State, Harvard, Georgia Southern, Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee State, and Kansas just to name a few have sent offers to Lowe for his services at the quarterback position. When I asked about all of his different offers, Lowe mentioned that all schools are offering him based on his skill set at the quarterback position and he plans on playing at the next level as the offensive signal caller. At this time he doesn’t have any favorites and is looking forward to being able to travel this spring and summer to get a better assessment of which program works best for him.
When we talk about Cameron Miller, he is ranked as one of the top wide receivers in the state per D1Highlights. Miller unlike Lowe has dropped his top schools that includes Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Memphis, Oregon, and Ole Miss. These six schools made the cut however there may be a dark horse quietly asserting themselves with the Florida Gators. Miller who is an explosive wide receiver is a pure athlete, so much so that Memphis is recruiting him to play on both sides of the ball and goes to show his pure athleticism. Tennessee newly hired head coach seems to be impressed with Miller and has already reached out to him with verbal conversations. In saying that, Oregon and Auburn may need to continue to push the envelope in recruiting Miller if they want his services like Tennessee, Memphis, Ole Miss, and Alabama have been doing.
Dallan Hayden who is rated as one of the top running backs in the state per D1Highlights is simply electrifying. What else can we say about this special running back out of Christian Brothers High School?! This current Mr. Football award winner has been blazing up the trail of recruitment the past two years. Hayden like Miller also has dropped his top schools that include Oregon, Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. The same four schools are at the top of his list from back in January however he told us that other schools are still trying to get on board with the opportunity of getting his services. We asked Hayden has he had an opportunity to speak with the new Knoxville regime at Tennessee. The answer was simple, he talks to them all the time and the relationship with Heupel is developing. Hayden comes from great pedigree as his father spent several years in Knoxville as well at the running back position.
