It seems pretty obvious to me that Pearl Cohn is still fuming over their second round loss in last year’s playoffs. Coach Tony Brunetti, has the Firebirds focused. They’ve jumped out to a perfect 4-0 start. This is the first time in 5 years they have went undefeated going into the midway point of the regular season.
Offensively they have an incredible 3 headed monster. Running Back Kyndrich Breedlove is an elusive runner of the football and always falls forward when or if he is tackled. Quarterback Martino “Bino” Owens makes good decisions in the pocket and doesn’t turn the ball over. He has 11 touchdowns to only 1 interception. Cedric Watkins is a swiss army knife, whatever is needed he has the tools to fix it.
The defense is smaller than usual but fast and vicious. Don Burleson is a beast at the linebacker position, he always finds the ball. Coach Brunetti has this team firing on all cylinders right now. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this team.
