After 20 years of having the same uniforms the Tennessee Titans finally have new uniforms to sport for the 2018 NFL season. Back in September of 2017 we released a rendering of what we thought the Titans new helmets should look like. Our design, seen to the right, featured a navy blue helmet with a white accent on the bottom , navy blue face mask and the logo minus the outer white ring. Nike got the navy blue part of the helmet right and the silverish grey face mask grows on me the more that I look at it! We love everything about the uniforms themselves, of course we all will have our opinions about which combinations that we like the most, but overall Nike did a great job bringing the uniforms up to date with the rest of the NFL. White pants with the white jersey as Brian Orakpo displayed on Wednesday night at the unveiling was probably our favorite. Followed by the all navy combination that Marcus Mariota wore. The color rush option is exactly that…a rush of color, so much that I’m not sure how long I could look at it at one time without putting on a pair of Ray Bans. Hopefully history will repeat itself given that the last time the Titans were in the Super Bowl was in 1999 in Atlanta, as it is this season and following their new uniform unveiling just as we did this year as well!
