The Grande Finale
It all comes down to one weekend in Cookeville to decide who are the 9 best teams across Tennessee for the 2017 season. The TSSAA State Championship games games will again be played at Tennessee Tech University. Below we will go over scheduling for each day with games listed for that day.
QB Kory Andrews
There are lots of BIG games that high school football fans are anticipating, for us Cane Ridge v. Maryville is one of the biggest. This has been a storybook season for the Ravens. No one gave them a chance at the beginning of the 2017 season, considering the fact that they moved from 5A to 6A all while losing several starters and team leaders on both sides of the ball. However, here we are in the week of the state title games and Cane Ridge has set themselves up with what we hope to be an epic matchup with the Maryville Rebels, we will call them “The Beast out East” for obvious reasons. We see Friday nights matchup between Cane Ridge and Maryville as the iron clad defense of Cane Ridge vs. The Flawless offense of Maryville.
Cane Ridge is led by the twins Jared and Jarad McCray, Running Back Devon Starling, Quarterback Kory Andrews and the freshmen phenom Quentin Barnes at wide receiver. For Cane Ridge to pull out an epic win over a team like Maryville, one, if not all of these young men will need to have a stellar game.
